CTRL +Her + DEL is a tech metaphor for erasure and resistance. Borrowing the language of technology and pop culture, the title reflects the systemic attempt to overwrite, control, and erase the complexities of womanhood.

Through fractured forms, layered textures, and visual motifs drawn from media and memory, CTRL + HER + DEL reimagines the feminine not as a product of culture, but as a force that resists, reclaims, and reprograms.

Each work interrogates the psychological dissonance experienced by women navigating culturally constructed ideals of femininity. Informed by contemporary feminist movements — including intersectional feminism, digital activism, and body autonomy discourse — the series reflects on how personal identity is often suppressed beneath performative roles shaped by patriarchal systems and pop cultural aesthetics.

Influenced by artists such as Joan Semmel, Marlene Dumas, and Cindy Sherman, the work explores the body as both subject and site of resistance — reclaiming it from objectification and recontextualizing it through intimacy, ambiguity, and critique. Vulnerability becomes a form of protest, emotional residue, and a record of endurance. These paintings bear witness to the psychological cost of imposed perfection while simultaneously gesturing toward a feminist reimagining — one rooted in complexity, contradiction, and agency.
